Worship AT SIMONSTONE ST PETER'S

Daily worship is an important part of our day, bringing the whole school community together to sing, pray and reflect. It provides a valuable opportunity to explore our Christian vision and values, celebrate achievements, consider important messages and strengthen our sense of belonging. Through daily worship, pupils and staff are encouraged to deepen their faith, reflect on their actions and grow together as a caring and supportive community.

Worship THEMEs

At Simonstone St Peter’s, Religious Education and Collective Worship play a central role in nurturing our Christian vision and values. We follow the Blackburn Diocesan Board of Education RE Curriculum, which provides a rich and engaging framework for developing pupils’ knowledge and understanding of Christianity and other world faiths. Our Collective Worship is guided by diocesan themes that inspire reflection, encourage spiritual growth and help children to explore how faith can influence everyday life.

Worship SONGS

Daily worship is a special time at Simonstone St Peter's; we love coming together as a school family to praise God through traditional hymns and more modern songs. We invite our community to our weekly worship and encourage them to sing along with us!

Below are the links to some of our worship songs for our families, friends and community to enjoy:

(Please note that these videos are accessed via YouTube so please ensure there is adult supervision whilst children are listening to and watching these songs).

SIMONSTONE SONGS

Alongside our worship songs, we also come together to sing songs that remind us of our 'Simonstone Standards': Be Smart, Be Supportive, Be Safe. These include songs themed around: kindness, community, resilience and other core attributes that we need to enrich life's journey.
