OPEN DAY - THURSDAY 17TH OCTOBER - 1PM COME AND SEE US IN ACTION!
Our Vision
‘The Lord is my Rock’ Psalm 18:2 building a firm foundation based on faith and knowledge to enrich life’s journey. We learn to connect with God through valuing the world we share and nurturing our friendships; working together as a Christian family to achieve our best, learning with confidence to fulfil our dreams.'
Welcome to our school
Welcome to Simonstone St Peter’s C of E Primary school
Welcome to OUR school – a school where children flourish, learn with confidence and achieve their best. We provide the firm foundations for children to grow in faith and knowledge, within a safe and inspiring environment.
At Simonstone we embrace diversity and prepare children for life’s journey. We celebrate differences and work as a Christian family to make sure all children are celebrated and achieve their goals. Children at Simonstone ‘thrive’ within a collaborative team of parents, governors, staff and volunteers. The school community, Parish and St Peter’s church all work together to provide an enriched and memorable primary school education.
Every day at Simonstone is full of excitement and wonder, no day is quite the same! We continually strive to provide new experiences and create a vibrant and inspiring place to learn and grow. Our curriculum is broad and balanced, engaging all abilities and ages. It is carefully planned to provide a bespoke education, catering to the needs of the children at Simonstone. We really do go that ‘extra mile’ and ensure all children participate in educational visits, trips and events. We embrace outdoor learning and fully support our sports and music curriculum. Whilst at Simonstone, children gain access to specialised music provision and opportunities to compete and participate in many sporting events. Our extra curriculum activities really do inspire – craft, archery and cookery to name just a few.
When entering our school, it is obvious to see that we work as a small Christian family. Our buddy system supports the younger children and we invest time in our children becoming leaders. They are creative and support many local and global charities; real courageous advocates in action! We nurture friendships and gain support from our peers and teachers when needed. We aim to be resilient and show confidence and pride in our achievements. We learn in a supportive and caring setting where all children feel that they belong and are accepted.
We are all very proud of our school and encourage you to visit and see us in action. We pride ourselves on good communication and encourage you to contact the school if you have any queries or questions. I hope you enjoy looking at our website and viewing our Twitter account. Here you will see our children flourishing as they learn and grow; preparing themselves for the world around them.
